Llamas at Craig

With 30 years experience of breeding and caring for llamas, Craig Highland Farm was one of the first establishments to introduce this wonderful creature to Scotland.

The llama is a hardy creature which has proven to be as at home in the harsh climate of the North Western Highlands as in their native South America.

Craig llamas seem to thrive, be it on rough wooded hillside or tamer sheltered pasture. The llama is by nature a pack animal with a strict hierarchy of command. Whilst at Craig take the time to call to the group, and then mingle with the herd as they accept you into their company. You can relax and take in the views whilst they graze peacefully about the ancient woodland. Click the Album to view
